A Power Detection System for AC Motor using Microcomputer


Abstract
A servo system has to be designed to detect a transient characteristic occuring in servo motor and to control that system for a safe operation. Also, it should be able to endure an expected maximum transient voltage. If not, we need a system which can analyze and control a transient characteristic.
In this paper, we propose a load detection system, which estimates load from initial values of transient characteristic and employs not a traditional quantitative method but a qualitative method which is suitable for a Fuzzy logic controller.
There are two advantages of the proposed scheme; one is that we can greatly reduce the response time by detecting voltage at the initial stage of the transient characteristic, the other is that we can apply this proposed system to an expert system using a Fuzzy which overcomes limits of the quantitative control. These technics are applicable to develop a lowcost realtime load control system which uses a microcomputer.
